Brownies

  • 1½ cups butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 ½ cups plain flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts/cashew nuts

Cream butter and add sugar. Cream thoroughly. Add the eggs one at a time. Combine the dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture and beat until blended. Stir in chopped nuts. Pour into a greased square or rectangular pan (a 13” x 16” tray). Bake for 35 minutes at 350°F or until done.
