Ingredients

250 gUnsalted Butter or FREE MeadowLea
250 gCaster Sugar
250 gPlain Flour
100 gChoc bits
3 teaspBaking Powder
250gHazelnut Meal
4Eggs
2-3 dropsBitter Almond Essence

Instructions

  1. Beat sugar, butter and eggs until light and fluffy, add B/A Essence
  2. Mix and sieve plain flour with baking powder
  3. Add hazelnut meal.
  4. Add choc bits
  5. Fold under butter mix.
  6. Pour into fluted baking pan and bake at 165 - 175 C for 50-60 min.

Icing

1 - 1 1/2 cups icing sugar + 3 heaped tablesp cadbury cocoa, 1 tablesp unsalted butter + boiling water
