Spaghetti Bolognese Authentico

  • 500g finely ground minced steak
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 2 x 140g recipe size tubs of Leggos Tomato Paste
  • ½ teaspoon each of pepper and dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 125g fresh button mushrooms, halved or sliced
  • 1 teaspoon beef stock concentrate or cube
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup red wine (or further ½ cup water)
  • 500g Leggos spaghetti noodles

Heat oil in saucepan and fry onion, garlic and mince until brown. Add tomato paste and remaining ingredients cover and simmer gently for 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. Meanwhile boil Leggos spaghetti noodles until it is al dente (approx 9 minutes). Drain and serve with sauce poured over. Top with grated parmesan cheese if desired. Serves 4.
