RTA Cycle Sydney 2004Jeanne had a set back on her health in August 2003. Ever since, family and friends ask us how she is and we always struggle to find the words to say. Jeanne decided to battle her illness with good 'ole fashion diet and exercise and we were all amazed by her self determination and discipline. On 28th of November 2004, Jeanne decided to attempt the RTA Cycle Sydney challenge. That is to ride from North Sydney to Parramatta. This is a 50km ride participated by over 8,000 cyclist. ![]() Starting Line at North Sydney 8:30am If she look a little bit crossed, that is because we climbed 1km uphill just to be at the starting line, when we could have just joined the ride
at the bottom of the hill. But we have to have a picture at the start banner.

![]() ... Ok this is the last time you'll see us smiling in this 38C ride (That's right - 38 degrees Celcius was the top temperature that day. We did not take anymore photos as it was not a beautiful sight. We poured water on ourselves to keep cool but even the water we're carrying was too hot. St. John Ambulance had a busy day. People were collapsing at the heat. Some decided to call it a day about 20 km to the finish line) But it was all worth it ... Click This Link |
