Himalayan Dinner

It’s the 60th Anniversary of the First Mt. Everest Climb by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. As such, the Australian Himalayan Foundation held simultaneous fund raising dinner in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Brisbane. When the invite for this dinner was forwarded to me by Ivor, I immediately signed up for Jeanne and myself. To… Read More ›

Berowra Heights Walk

After a general meeting of the Macquarie Explorer Club, a few of us went for the optional walk for the day. The others went to the Berowra Waters Lookout. Here are a few of the photos I took. Garmin Map of the Walk

Bucket List – The Movie

When I asked Chong if he would join me trekking the Himalayas – his response was : “Are we doing the Bucket List?”. I knew he was referring to the movie – I’ve seen the trailers but have not watched it yet. Then I told a friend that the girls brought home “Kopi Luwak” for… Read More ›

Pressurised Steam Iron

Yes, I iron my own clothes ever since a very young age. The only time I didn’t was the year my grandfather died and I went to live with Lola Imay. She ironed my clothes then and they were always pristine. I wish I took the time to take lessons from her, as I could… Read More ›

Tuwang-tuwa sila sa mga berde dahil tamang-tama lang ang anghang sabi nila. Yung mga pula – ubod ng anghang – pinag-papawisan ako sa tuwing… Read More ›

In Flight

Publishing my South American Photos in my Flickr-Pro account made me review the use of this resource. Up until now – I have been uploading my blog photos in my WordPress using NextGen. Although it is a great plugin – I find myself resizing my photos a lot to make them more viewable. By using Flickr – I could use a lot of the standard re-size of my photos whilst maintaining the maximum size online.

Burst Water Main

Ahmet Court had a new water feature – if only for a few hours. This is perhaps the most exciting news that ever occured in this street – not exactly Wysteria Lane Material – but hey it’s a photo opportunity.

Schmap Photo

Jeanne’s snap during the Sax and the City Festival was selected to be featured in a web magazine. Here’s the link Sydney Festival. The photo is credited to me because I own the Flickr account where the photo is archived. But you would notice that I am actually in the photo – walking towards the… Read More ›
