We were at the Waterfront Restaurant in Circular Quay last night when I notice ashes around my unused plate. Little do I know about the enormity of the bush fire happening around us. Dubbed as the worst bush fire in a decade – and it’s not summer yet.
I was planning to bring my camera that day but decided against it. We were meeting a group of tourist for dinner. I’m sure between them there will be lots of cameras, I thought, why would I need to bring a camera. At the risk of being insensitive to the devastation brought about by the fire – it’s a nature photo opportunity loss for me. These were the dramatic images I re-tweeted.
